Vasco: The Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) stopped the erection of two huts in Baina Beach quoting permission problems.
Port officials visited the site in Baina and asked the operator to first seek permission from MPT.
The owner of the Shack Kalidas Phadte said he and one person had the permission needed from the Ministry of Tourism.
Because there were several problems with the Mormugao Municipal Board, they had approached the court and won this case.
When they began to establish huts, MPT personnel told them that they could not continue work without taking their permission and paying certain costs.
“MPT has begun to harass the owner of the hut on the coast of South Goa.
This cannot be tolerated,” said the founding member of Goencho Ekvott, said Orville Dourado.
The President of the Welfare Community owner of Goa Shack, Cruz Cardozo has warned that the owner of the Shack will oppose the Teeth and MPT decision making nails.
He said that MPT could not determine the term as permission has been given by the Department of Tourism and Coastal Zone Management Authority of Goa.
A few days ago, the Shackowners Arossim also asked MPT officials about this issue.
