Mr. CM Stalin launched the work of Keeladi Phase-VIII

Madurai: Head of Minister M K Stalin on Friday Excavation which was inaugurated by the State Archaeological Department on various sites including Keeladi in Sivaganga District where the work in the eighth phase would take off.
Other projects are digging the third phase in Sivagalai in Tuticorin District, the first phase work in the Vembakottai in the Virudhunagar and Thulukkarpatti districts in the Tirunelveli district.
The number of RS Lima Crore has set this year for excavation in seven places including all four.
The eighth phase of excavation in Keeladi and Konthagai cluster villages, Manalur and Gaury will work to identify the continuation of the brick structure found in previous excavations.

In the digging the third phase in Sivagalai, the archaeologists will try to find more evidence for the existence of 3,200 years old civilization on the banks of the Porunai (Thamirabarini).
The scientific analysis of Dehusked rice granules found in Sivagalai has improved 3,200 years.
Thulukkarpatti is located about six kilometers southeast of Vallioor in the Tirunelveli district.
