Islamabad: The Pakistani government has threatened the country’s broadcast media with legal action to report allegations by the former Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party party which issued Prime Minister Imran Khan Residence in Hilltop in Islamabad borne by Islamabad party workers.
Earlier this week, a retired APEX Pakistani court judge, Wajihuddin Ahmed, who has resigned from PTI in 2016, claimed that the current party leader wasolated Jahangir Tareen had provided Rs 3 million every month to run his home.
The number, Ahmed accused during TV interviews, has been upgraded to Rs 5 million later.
According to Ahmed, the public perception of Imran Khan became an honest man was truly wrong.
Tareen, in posts on Twitter, however, denied the allegations.
Immediately after the naked broadcast, the interview became a viral on social media and then taken by the mainstream media outlet.
“Several TV stations made a campaign from the accusation of Hujihuddin Ahmed,” said Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, who vowed that the government would pursue cases against all channels that had reported Ahmed’s charges without verification.
The minister further said that the government had also decided to file a lawsuit “defamation” against Ahmed on its charges.
Applied for the main justice of Pakistan and the main judge of all high courts to ensure that respect from the institution is enforced, the minister suggests the formation of a special division bench at the district level and the High Court to handle specific defamation cases specifically.
Speaking with reporters in Karachi after the minister’s presser, Ahmed stated that his statement was accurate and added that he had no problems with the government submitting a request for slander.
For a question, he said that Tareen had no choice but to deny the accusation.
“These costs come out of the book and are not taken into account.
Therefore, it is easy for him to deny it,” he thought.
