Udhagamandalam: The Madras Regiment Centre (MRC) at Wellington has been dispersing foods into daily wage labourers in distant regions of the district because extreme lockdown came to force from the nation.
Soldiers in the Madras Regiment Centre were distributing meals three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday) to 1,200 meals packs to bad daily wage exemptions and labourers, according to a press release in the MRC.
On Wednesday, the soldiers spread over 400 food packs at Bandumai village at Coonoor taluk in the area.
