New Delhi: In a letter to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of Trade Piyush Goyah, Delhi BJP Official Pravey Shankar Kapoor on Saturday stated that the inclusion of wholesalers and retailers as entrepreneurs in the MSME category had become a large relief to hit traders Covid-19 because it will make them qualify for the benefits of various schemes managed by the government for them.
One of the country’s economic centers, Delhi has around 15 Lakh traders, which many are small traders but play an important role in the capital’s economy.
For almost five years the trader’s body demanded their inclusion in the MSME category.
“In addition to getting benefits from the scheme, these traders will now be able to receive bank loans for the MSME category with the interest rate of concessions for business expansion and revitalization after a long period of Covid’s slowdown,” Kapoor said, thanking the two ministers.
