Mumbai: Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) managed to operate 36 buses in the state on Friday amid the ongoing attack by employees.
MSRTC officials have claimed earlier on that day some employees returned to work at workshops.
Agitation, for demands including corporate merger with the Maharashtra government, starting on October 28.
Shekhar Channe, Deputy Chair and Managing Director of the MSRTC, told PTI that 36 buses were operated from 17 locations during the day.
Buses operated by route including Mumbai-Satara, Dadar-Pune, Swargate (Pune) – Thane, Nashik-Pune, Nashik-Dhule, Solapur-Akkalkot and Rajapur -burumbewadi.
The highest seven buses are operated on the Pune Station-Dadar route.
More than 850 passengers traveled with 36 buses.
All 250 MSRTC depots have been closed since Monday.
MSRTC also issued a pamphlet on Friday, urging employees to immediately call strike.
The accumulation of corporate losses has increased to 12,000 crore rs, still paying salaries over the past 18 months by taking financial assistance of RS 3,549 Crore from the state government, he said.
“We will continue to make sincere efforts to pay a timely salary,” make sure the corporation.
Pamphlets also mention the fulfillment of other demands such as increasing dear allowances and home rental allowances and prizes for employees.
