Vadodara: Five Startup Teams formed by Student Engineering Faculty of Technology and Engineering University M (FTE) will showcase their work in the ‘pitchfest’ – held as part of the MSU Vision 2020 Incubator program on Saturday.
The MSU alumni network consisting of alumni from India and the United States worked with the Alumni and Donor Relations Office last year launched a 2020 vision to inspire FTE students with incubator initiatives as one of the programs.
Incubator has received 25 proposals from Techo students.
After a structured and diligent evaluation process, 15 teams were invited to throw their startup ideas before the Incubator Board consisting of selected and alumni faculty members.
Each of the top five teams was awarded the seed funds of 50,000 to build their products and compete for appreciation for Rs 1 Lakh.
Along the way, all students participating experienced several webinars about entrepreneurship and each of the top five teams received mentoring support from alumni.
The top five teams will now show off the results of their efforts over the past six months by throwing a decent minimum product (MVP) before the Board.
