MSU Plantation Week Starting Today, Targeting 10k Plants

Vadodara: MS University organizes ‘Maha Vanaspati Ropan Saptan’ (Mega Plantation Week) from Monday to 10 July.
The total target of plantations is 10,000 factories where 2,000 plants will be planted every day throughout the campus.
The plantation will be conducted early in Bhukhi Kaans, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Trade, Faculty of Art, Faculty of Management and Faculty of Social Work among other points.
There are more than 45 leading volunteers working behind the project.
Overall 190 voluntary students from various faculties will participate in this program.
Along with them, 100 NCC and NSS cadets will also help in the plantation.
The event was compiled based on the leadership of Prof.
Day Kataria, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr.
P S Nagar, Taman Supervisor and Prof.
Kairesh Vachhrajani, Head of Environmental Studies.
“The vision behind this program is to make our university environmentally friendly places and make it clean and green,” Kataria said.
This program was led by recently fainted MSC students in the previous year and the end of botany.
Based on how plants survive at the end of the academic year, students will be given various certificates such as platinum, gold, silver and bronze by university officials.
