The university has decided to continue temporary teacher services and non-teaching staff until then a clarity from the Gujarat government about the appointment of temporary staff.
The temporary staff who are the backbone in terms of teaching and non-teaching activities on anxious campus after the university stopped the appointment process.
The Gujarat government, through the circulation issued in the first week of November, has asked all state universities to consult before making decisions regarding the appointment of temporary staff members.
“Based on the round released by the state government, we have sent details of all members of the temporary staff to the government and seeking their guidance,” said the Registrar of the MSU Dr.
K Chudasama.
“Syndicate members have passed the resolution to continue the service of the staff because the academic year has started from June.
We will obey the direction of the Gujarat government.
But until we receive guidance, the service staff will continue in accordance with the existing terms and conditions,” he said.
Syndicate members will review their decision again after 90 days if there is no direction or guide from the Gujarat government at that time.
