With Pic Kanpur: The Jamajwadi Party (SP) Patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son-in-law and then Prasad Yadav’s ‘Samdhin’ (mother-in-law) Mridula Yadav has been chosen without removing as Head of the Saifai Blok in the ongoing Panchay elections in the state.
“The official announcement was made by officers who returned on Friday,” said former Member of Mainpuri Parliament Tej Pratap Singh Yadav.
Saifai block, which was formed in 1994, always has a pramukh which is a member or closely related to the Yadav clan.
55 BDC members from Saifai Panchayat choose one block and from all of them often members of BDC from the Samajwadi Party.
For the first time, Ranveer Singh, the son of Mulayam’s oldest brother, Ratan Singh, was chosen as Head of the Saifai Blok.
Ranveer was chosen as Head of the Saifai Blok in 2000 again.
However, after his sudden death in 2002, the responsibility of the Head of the Saifai Block in 2003 was given to Dharmendra Yadav, the son of Mulayam’s younger brother Abhayram Yadav.
Dharmendra emptied the seat a year later when he was chosen as a member of Parliament from Mainpuri in 2004 Lok Sabha by the election when Mulayam emptied the chair after becoming the main minister in 2003.
Then, Nephew of Confidante Nathu Singh Mulayam remains a head block until the responsibility is forwarded to the son of Ranvir and Mulakyam Tej Pratap’s grandchild who was the Pramukh block in 2011.
However, he emptied the chair in 2014 after he was elected from Lok Sabha’s main chair.
After that, Tej Pratap Mridula Yadav took over the new Pramukh Blok Saifai.
