MTC drivers are ordered not to close the door that doesn’t exist

Chennai: The transportation union has established a banner at the government bus depot in the city condemning the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) to act against employees with personal bias.
The corporation has ordered one driver because it doesn’t close the bus door that doesn’t exist.
M n Prakash, driving a MTC bus on route 49 (Thiruvanmiyur-Iyyapanthangal), was issued a memo to work in a way that was negligent by keeping the bus door open.
Disciplinary action begins against Prakash for placing passenger life at stake and slandering the corporation.
But the bus he drove (TN 01 and 0505) was 10 years and did not have automatic doors, the center of the Indian Workers’ Union (Culu) said that his banners criticized MTC for unfounded charges.
It asks for action against those who frame false accusations and collect penalties (from their monthly payments) from employees.
When contacted, the Managing Director of MTC A Anbu Abraham on Wednesday said, “We have revoked the memo spent now.” R M Swamy of the SVS-AAP transportation union said this is not an isolated incident.
“MTC continues to take action against his staff for personal reasons and retaliation.
Most of the reasons shown are unfounded or ridiculous.” Not publishing tickets for women and luggage and incompatibility in ticket sales and income are the three most common reasons for taking the action.
After the government announced a free journey for women, they tend not to ask a conductor for tickets (show zero rupees).
While the rule book allows baggage costs only for goods transported for commercial reasons, the authority insists on costs even for personal items.
The conductor has lost the year in proving that they are not wrong for the deficit of only three to five rupees during the check, he added.
