Hyderabad: From starting a new MTech course to launch a phase-2 campus, the Institute of Technology India, Hyderabad (IIT-H) has a complicated plan in the pipe for the next two years.
To start, the Institute plans to launch a new MTech program in TechnoEnnEneurship.
“This course will allow BTECH students to pursue entrepreneurship to directly search for MTech.
Usually, MTECH programs for two years.
However, this program will be a year where BTECH students will be prepared in entrepreneurship with special syllabus,” said Prof.
BS Murty, Director, IIT-H.
The new MTech course will be an additional various MTech Online programs that the Institute will offer.
Apart from this, the Institute will immediately open the door for summer internships for students from other engineering colleges.
“We will choose top students from various engineering institutions and expose them to Iitlevel learning.
In addition, we also want to mentor other engineering institutions, in Telangana especially to improve teaching and learning,” said Murty.
When the Institute tends to expand the prospect of research and entrepreneurship on the campus, the phase-2 construction of the Institute is also pacing.
Fase-2 campuses that will have a Fourstoried Knowledge Park (library), separate buildings for each department, additional hostels, sports complexes among many other facilities likely to be inaugurated in December, 2022.
“Park Research and Innovation Park Spanning 1.5 Lakh SQ Feet -Masing will appear, which will be a boost for the industry startup and relations, “Murty said.
Following the National Education Policy, this institution plans to introduce a multi-out program, establishes the centers of excellence in the field of futuristic research and focus on internationalization.
“We have launched the first (alliance for international research scholars in technology) which are open to foreign students who merit.
We will expand the fellowship of 60,000 per month to come to IIT-H and pursue research,” Murty said.
