MU panel to learn the causes of bad PG receipts

Mangaluru: Mangalore University (MU) has formed a reception review committee to find out the reason why there is a bad reception for postgraduate courses, including in Mangalagaothri in Konaje.
Over the years, MU has noticed to suspend receipt to humanities, social sciences and trade courses.
The flow of science has the highest demand for PG courses.
P s Yapitithaya, Deputy Chancellor, said that except for the PG Science course, Humanities, Social Sciences and several trade courses have received poor reception.
The Committee will study the reception pattern of the last five years, and find out the reason for negative growth.
Committee members include the Dean of Arts, Trade and PG Course Science, Senior Professor, Subject Expert, Retired Professors and Special Invitations.
The Committee will meet next week, and submit their findings at a syndicate meeting scheduled for February 28.
Yadapadithaya stressed that there were a number of factors that influenced acceptance at the university.
“The varsity tries the best to improve with the latest syllabus, and cancel the outdated.
Apart from our best efforts, the reception does not improve,” Yadadithithaya said.
The source of MU has called for the second round of the application, and has extended the receipt of PG until February.
This has been done because of poor acceptance, and also to accommodate students who accept the results of their second semester undergraduate examination late.
“Some PG science courses have received the highest number of applications.
Demand courses are chemicals and related subjects, food science, medical and electronic physics.
There is a negative response to the Humanities and Social Sciences courses.
The computer center inaugurated Yapitithaya inaugurated the computer center, which was established on Konaje campus on Wednesday.
This computer center, located in the basement of the new faculty building, has around 88 pcs and all the facilities needed, such as the internet and overhead projectors.
Along with the new system, the center now has several old computers maintained with Good.
“This central system has been designed to negate the need for each department to have its own laboratory.
This will help with the cost of management and use of human resources, “Yadapadithaya said.
