Mangaluru: Mangalore University has decided to make provisions for post-graduate receipts for last year’s undergraduate students who appear for their second semester exam and are waiting for the results.
The results will be postponed by two weeks.
The first year of PG will begin on January 17.
Starting from the first year postgraduate class reportedly postponed due to the delay of UG.
According to the University’s plan, the postgraduate class should begin in the second week of November.
However, now it has been delayed two months.
During the pre-pandemic day, postgraduate courses were used to start in August.
“I did not get a ticket to personal autonomous college in the city because my results were not stated.
The last hope I have is Mangalore University,” said a trade student who wants to pursue MCom and appear for special examinations.
According to the University, the new provisions were made so graduate students who missed tickets to other places elsewhere because the postponement of the announcement of the results would be given the opportunity to conduct their studies.
Registrar of Mangalore University Kishore Kumar CK told Ti University decided this change at a recent meeting.
This rule applies to all categories, including SC / SC and candidates that have emerged for special examinations held in December.
If the chair is filled in a postgraduate courses, there are provisions to divert additional seats to allow candidates.
“MU has made this particular provision so that students who want to pursue a higher study are not seized from that opportunity,” Kishore said.
The test fee through the university has released an entrance examination for all postgraduate programs.
This step came after the start of the postgraduate courses were delayed more than five times.
Already from the university added that the entrance ticket to several courses was low.
The postgraduate courses of science at the Mangalagangothri campus or MU Konaje campus receive 619 receipts, while trading, art, education each receives 127, 126 and 64 students.
The Registrar said that receipt “might see a surge after the results of the second semester special examination was announced”.
