Ludhiana: Police, on Tuesday, posted a resident of Ludhiana to deceive doctor Bangalore Rs 3.65 lakh with the pretext to prove the injection for the treatment of mukorkosis.
The doctor has contacted the defendant Rohan Chauhan from Surjit Colony, Bhamiya, after getting the number on Facebook.Dr Mahesh Shekoba has filed a police complaint on May 29, after which investigation was marked.
Mahesh, “I am a senior citizen at St John’s Medical College, Bangalore .
My father, Yadav Rao, was diagnosed with mukormycosis on May 7 and underwent debridement surgery on the same day.
After the surgery, she wore injection of liposome amphotericin B and doctors prescribe it for at least four weeks.
“Because of the shortage of injection, he was looking for someone to provide it.
“A friend told me about Rohan and I contacted him after finding the number on Facebook.
I talked to Rohan for the first time on May 25 and he convinced to provide 50 liposomal B amphotericin injection bottles through couriers after receiving payment.
Rohan first took payment In front of Rs 10,000 for orders.
After that, I transferred Rs 2 Lakh to his account and he shared a courier video with my home address on it.
The next day, I transferred Rs 1.50 lakh more to his account.
I was waiting for the courier and tracking it Online.
I accepted it on May 27.
When I opened it, the package contained footwear.
I called Rohan several times, but all my calls were missed.
I then realized that I had been cheated, “Dr.
Mahesh added.
Tabri Police Office Sub-Inspector Tammana Devi said the investigation was carried out by ACP (financial crime).
FIR has been submitted under Section 420 (cheating) from the IPC.
The defendant will be arrested soon.
