Mucormycosis: 160 deaths in Haryana so far, notify the court

Chandigarh: A total of 160 people lost their lives in Haryana because of mukormycosis until June 27.
A total of 1,494 cases have been reported in the state until now and where 253 has been released after treatment and the rest.
Information in this case was submitted before the Punjab High Court and Haryana on Monday by the Director of Haryana General Health JS Grewal in response to a petained sustainable petition before HC in relation to the state to handle Pandemics and Post that Covid-19 Complications Covid.
In detailed affidavit, Grewal also told HC that special training sessions have also been held for training of dental surgeons, ENT specialists, eye surgeons, and doctors who allow them to detect mucromicosis symptoms in the early stages.
Treatment to patients, suffering from mucorikosis, is provided free of charge in government health facilities and five government medical universities have been notified for the management of these cases.
Thus, the district has been attached to this medical college for the patient references.
HC was told that a total of 25,292 injections of amphotericin B had been released for free in all government health facilities, and at the actual cost at the procurement level to all private facilities.
Concerned about the rapid increase in the cases of Musormycosis in the region, the High Court, on May 21 has asked the Trade Union, Punjab and Haryana and Chandigarh UT governments to inform the preventive steps taken to overcome this new threat.
HC has also been told that on June 17, the Ministry of Health has written to all Covid-19 hospitals dedicated to developing a redressal system for relatives of Covid-19 patients received in hospitals, especially ICU patients, to provide information about patient status regularly , Regarding excessive messaging by several private hospitals from Covid-19 patients, all Deputy Commissioners (DCS) has been directed to utilize the Chartered Accountants (CAS) services at DC rates to verify Covid-19 patient bills for care in private hospitals.
No Employees Syirced Covid Duty HC has requested information about employees who water their assignments during this pandemic period.
The Ministry of Health told the court that all civil surgeons, through a letter dated June 15, 2021, was asked to send detailed reports in this matter.
However, there were no such reports of health / official officers avoiding the task of Covid-19 had been reported to date.
