Most of the Musicycosis patients, around 84.4 percent, have reported Covid-19 history
Even when the Covid case continued to fall in Bengaluru and the rest of Karnataka, the fourth states were established in the case of the total reported mukormycosis, and the second in the death of mucormicosis in the country.
According to the latest data, 45,374 cases of mukormycosis are reported in this country so far and from them, the Karnataka section is 3,562.
A total of 1,692 people have died of musicycosis in the country and from them, 166 came from Karnataka.
The state is second in the death of Musormycosis after Gujarat (703).
Replying to the question by L Hanumanthaiah, Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, the Minister of Health of the Mansukh Mandaviya said that until July 15, a total of 45,432 cases of mukormycosis were reported throughout the country and from them, 21,085 patients were under treatment and 4,252 patients had died.
The most common musormycosis presentation includes Rhinocerebral (77.6 percent), skin (4.3 percent) and lungs (3.0 percent).
