Thane: Unknown chain-snatcher targets a 42-year-old woman from Kandivli to take a long-range train, reach for her gold necklace and then run away near the Diva station on Monday.
According to the Mumbai train police, the woman traveled alone and has boarded Ms.
Matsyagandha Express coach from Karwar on Sunday night.
The police suspected the defendant traveled in the same coach.
When the train approached the diva station at around 5:45 a.m., the defendant pulled the gold chain from his neck.
Before the woman could realize what happened, she jumped out of the train running, the police said.
The coach was quite busy at the time of the incident.
Police Thane has launched a hunt for him based on the description given by the victim.
