Dumka: Three people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the murder of Mukhiya in Pakit Regency on Monday night, police said.
According to the police, Manikpapara Panchayat Mukhiya Kusher Ali (30) traveled in his car with his family on Monday night when unidentified criminals threw crude oil bombs into the vehicle, dragging him out of the car and hacked him to death.
Ali’s three-year-old girl, Nihar Khatun, also died in the incident.
SP Pakur Hrudeepp P Jandhanan said almost half a dozen attackers involved in the three attacks had been captured so far.
“The doctor at the hospital consciously stated that the two victims were killed on arrival.
Other vehicle residents included Ali Naseema Aunt’s wife, their four-year-old son, Junaid Ahmad and driver Amirul Sheikh.
