Ara: One Sanjay Singh, 45, who was chosen as Babu Bandh Panchayat Mukhiya for the second time in the election held on October 24, was shot dead under the Charpokhari block in the Bhojpur district on Monday.
There were no eyewitnesses for the incident when he was killed in a quiet place when from his place of origin in Bajen to Bhaluana Village, a neighbor under the Area of the Charpokhari police station.
The ambulance was found left in place.
The police suspected criminals in the ambulance had intercepted his motorcycle and shot him dead.
Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari is a police team under Piro Sdpo to arrest the perpetrators.
“The motive behind the murder is not clear,” said Tiwari.
