Patna: Mukhiya Dhativna Pancayat who was just elected in the Gopalganj district, Sukhal Marriage (32), was shot dead by two unknown criminals in Matha Gautam Village under the Thawe police station on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 6.30 in the morning when Mukhiya feeded livestock outside his home in the village.
The criminals first stabbed Mukhiya with a knife and then shot him.
According to the police, former Mukhiya Panchayat, Satya Prakash Singh, and the others rushed to the place after hearing gunshots.
They took Sukhal to a local hospital where he died during treatment.
His body was sent to the Gopalganj Hospital aware for autopsy.
