Mullaseriyar Dam: ‘will protect the interests of TN, Ker’

With concerns submitted in Kerala on the safety of the old Mullaserius dam, Minister M St Stalin’s head on Wednesday wrote a letter to his Kerala colleague, Pinarayi Vijayan, assured him about the steps to protect the interests of the two countries, reported Julie Mariappan.
CM said that TN had drawn maximum water (2,300 cusecs) from the Multasyry dam through the tunnel to Vaigai Dam as requested by Vijayan in his letter last week.
“The water level in the Mullaseriyar Dam is 137.6ft at 9pm on Wednesday, and the incoming flow is 2,300 cusecs.
The current level in the dam is within the limits permitted by the Water Commission and our officials resume relates to your team,” Stalin said .
