Chennai: The AIADMK Coordinator O Panneerselvam on Saturday increases the question of the release of water from the Mullaseriyar Dam to Kerala even when the water level does not reach 142 legs that are permitted.
The party will hold agitation on November 9 at the Headquarters of Five Regency – Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Ramanthapuram and Sivaganga – against the DMK government.
On Friday, Air Resources Minister Duraimurugan, who visited the Multasyar Dam, with the ministerial team and officials, accused the leadership of AIDMK did not have moral rights to speak when they did not visit the dam once in the past ten years.
In a statement, Panneerselvam tried to find out whether the water was released to Kerala unilaterally by the Government of Kerala in the presence of the Minister of State or with the approval of the Tamil Nadu government, how the Tamil Nadu officials did it if Kerala had done it by itself, whether it was discussed with farmers and parties Another if with the approval of the state government and what the need to release water before the level reaches 142 feet.
“Finding an error with the Aidmk government condemned instead of giving a clear answer to this question.
This raises doubts about the rights of Tamil Nadu has been pawned with Kerala,” said the leader AIADMK.
“At least now, I hope the state government to explain what is happening, the other DMK will face the consequences,” he added.
Panneerselvam said that he had visited Dam Mullaseriyar 14 times as Minister of PWD in the AIDMK regime and freed water for irrigation.
The AIADMK government led by Jayalalithaa has opened a warning in the Themi district in 2013 for England Engineers John Pennycuick, who built a dam.
It was the challenging AIADMK government in March 2006 Kerala irrigation and water conservation (amendment) acted to maintain the surface of the water in the dam at 136 feet, after the court allowed the Tamil Nadu government to increase the water level to 142 feet.
“The DMK Government (later) can increase the water level given its proximity to the trade union government and release the Cauvery final award at the Gazette Center.
But the DMK did nothing,” said Ops, added that it was the AIADMK government who received a Cauvery award set through battle Law and also order to raise the water level to 142 feet in the Mullaseriyar Dam.
