CHENNAI: The DMK authorities on Thursday created six statements in the sidelines of their 98th birth anniversary of former chief minister M Karunanidhi.
They include building of a multi superb specialty hospital in King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research at Guindy.
The 500-bed hospital is going to be assembled in Rs 250 crore.
The government will install’Kalaignar Memorial Library’ at Madurai at Rs 70 crore within a place of 2 lakh square feet with contemporary amenities, on the traces of Anna Centenary Library at Kotturpuram at Chennai.
‘Ilakkiya Mamani’ award is going to be featured to promote and honor three Tamil authors each year.
It would take a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh and a citation, stated an official launch.
The release stated the authorities would offer home to the receivers of their greatest national literary awards such as Jnanpith and Sahitya Akademi awardwinning, country literary awards and of famous foreign organisations.
“Housing will be given from the state authorities in their districts or those they want to get,” the release added.
