Hyderabad: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said even though the 15th financial commission had suggested to provide a special package for Telangana, there was no response from the center.
Responding to the questions raised by MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha and T Jeevan Reddy the minister said that even though the state government faces financial problems, employees are given a revised commission and there is a delay in salary.
In the Ayushman Bharat scheme, said Harish Rao while only 26 Lakh were borne by Ayushman Bharat, 87 Lakh who was covered under the Arogya Sri scheme.
“So far, 1,18,247 people benefit from Ayushman Bharat who spends around Rs 259 Crore by the government,” Minister said.
T Meeting Power Request: Jagadishenergy Minister Jagadish Reddy said the state government meets power demand even though there are sudden surges in recent years.
When the country forms a request of only 6,000 MW now the capacity of contracted power is 16,000 MW, he said.
He said 56,111 million units of power were consumed by 2020-2021 of them around 17,935 MU for domestic and commercial purposes and other 38,000 MWs for industrial purposes, lifts and agriculture.
Discounts produce Rs 30,000 Crore, he said.
