MUMBAI: Mumbai is predicted to have a source of 87,000 dosages of Covishield vaccine from Covid-19 on Friday along with the inoculation drive could restart in town the following day, mayor Kishori Pednekar stated on Thursday.
Because of the unavailability of sufficient variety of vaccine doses, the Covid-19 vaccination push in Mumbai was suspended on Thursday at centers run from the town civic body along with the Maharashtra government, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) previously said.
Of the absolute 342 busy Covid-19 vaccination centers in Mumbai, 243 are handled from the BMC and 20 from the state authorities.
Pednekar said they’re anticipating a source of 87,000 dosages of this Covishield vaccine Friday, after that the vaccination drive could restart the following moment.
She said they will attempt to administer both the doses of vaccine to pupils that are set to move overseas for higher studies by August.
