Mumbai: The city crime branch caught the Nigerian Nigerian Depot Nigeria on Jalan Chembur-Govandi, and made one of its biggest seizures, with 5kg MD, 118 grams of cocaine and cash, all worth RS 5.36 Crore.
Based on tip-off, the crime branch team, led by more Indrajder Inspector and Birajdar, put the trap and resist Nigeria’s national which was later identified as Anthony Achekule (40), a Kharghar resident at Navi Mumbai.
Even though the search was overall, the police could not find anything on him.
They then tore the wallet he was carrying and found a hidden cavity in it.
“We found that he had 4,965 g of Mephedrone and 118G pure cocaine, 10,000 rs cash,” said DCP (crime) Prakash Jadhav.
Anthony was ordered under the NDPS law and returned to police custody until November 26.
The police said that according to their source, he would buy drugs from Delhi and sell it in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
The police said they were studying the detailed record of his call (CDR) to find out the source of contraband goods.
