Mumbai: Commands have gathered to sign a petition against poor bus frequencies and cancellations of five important bus routes that have robbed the poor and medium transportation transportation in the Delise Road and Arthur Road area.
A typical campaign began on Sunday and continued until Monday afternoon, said local activist Aarati Pugonkar from Pravation Takrar MANSH.
He said that a number of women, senior residents depend on the bus to go to Nair and Kem Hospital and they have started uncomfortable.
“We also have school students who need a bus from Delisle Road to the omelet and they suffer because of poor frequencies.
In the days they have to spend a taxi which is an expensive business, with a minimum rate compared to Rs 25 compared to RS 5 bus tickets, “He said.
Along with the best committee members Sunil Ganacharya, he planned to meet with the best Lokesh Chandra General Manager on January 27 with a petition.
“Our main demand is to restart five important bus routes that are limited or canceled a few months ago,” he said.
This includes the bus route number 74 (Mahim to Colaba), 76 (Pratiksha Nagar to Mantallaya), 61 (Machchimar Nagar to Fort Area), 77 (Wadala Depot to JM Mehta Marg) and Route 30 (Mumbai Central To Teen Haita Naka, Thane ), she says.
Said a local commuter, “With the absence of these buses, we have to walk 1 to 1.5 km to take a bus on route 66 which has bad frequencies.
Sometimes, two buses come together by stopping and we have to wait 20 -25 minutes for other buses arrived.
“When contacted, Lokesh Chandra’s best general manager said that if there were problems or problems faced by commuting, the best would certainly take awareness and act accordingly.
“As for the bad frequency and bus bunches on route 66 we will check the problem and ensure that there are more buses on the route with a frequency of 10 minutes,” he said.

Due to the termination of the bus route, Currey Road, Delise Road, Dhobi Ghat, when Rasta, Arthur Road locals had been put into trouble, said Ganacharya.
He further said that students, who need a bus to go to Wilson College or Bhawan’s College near Giragaum Chowpatty must spend RS 25 sharing one-way taxi fare.
“Many buses run point to the point and pass the Delisle road area, without stopping at the stop on the way,” he said, adding that there was a need to introduce the bus to children on the omelet.
Adding Pugaonkar: “There are workers and other workers from Kalbadevi who live near when Rasta (Jacob Circle) and they have also approached us to demand more buses for workplaces.
We will submit a combined petition to GM this week.”
