Mum: Portal to the Vax Commuter Screen Status

Mumbai: The day after Uddhav Thackeray’s main minister announced the system to issue an embedded QR code code that enabled them to be fully vaccinated to get suburban train tickets in Mumbai, officials said it would likely be submitted to the ‘Universal Travel Pass’ that would allow access to several modes of transportation in the metropolis, including monorail and metro when they open.
This pass is to verify the commuter immunization status and allow them to utilize other relaxation such as entering the mall or government office.
The portal that publishes the pass is likely to be launched on Wednesday.
This will be associated with co-win so the vaccination certificate uploaded by someone can be verified.
In terms of delayed portal, BMC plans to arrange a facilitation table at the local train station to help office visitors get their papers verified.
Officials said the Indian government had agreed to share back-end software with the state to prepare the proposed portal.
‘SOP for trains is either on paper but it is difficult to apply’ “connecting with co-Win is important to get rid of fake certificates.
Also, because the certificate does not have a photo, this pass will require someone to be uploaded,” said a senior official.
The QR code on the pass must be verified using a cellular scanner with a ticket inspector.
The BMC plan is to increase the government’s efforts by preparing verification tables in the ward office and outside station to check vaccination certificates.
“We held a meeting with state government officials.
If the portal is not ready, we will arrange a verification table outside the train station.
Residents can come with their vaccination certificate and we will check whether they are authentic on co-win and their stamp.
After this.
After this done, they can buy their train tickets, “said a citizenship official.
State decisions to enable people who are fully vaccinated to access public transportation, especially local trains which are city lifelines, have been praised by parts of experts.
Dr.
Chandrakanant Lahariya, an epidemiologist and a health system expert, said that allowing them to take the suburban train is a step in the right direction.
“What is the reverse vaccination purpose? If people are not permitted to return to normal life with masking prevention, then why do we vaccinate even,” he said.
According to him, the state must also make exceptions for those who have taken one shot.
“If they have taken the first shot, it means they will most likely go for the second too,” he added.
Opposition, especially BJP, but found shortcomings in plans.
It is said that the government makes the entry system for a travel travel travel complicated.
The state minister Raosaheb Danve said the state must consult a previous train.
Party spokesman Keshav Upadhye said instead of using an established Central Arizya Setu application, the state has chosen to create its own application, which will place obstacles before the working class.
Some train officials say SOP looks fine on paper but is difficult to implement.
Member of the Zonal Rail Consultation Consultation Committee (ZRUCC) Shailesh Goyal said, “I am the first to come up with the suggestion but the state and train governments are not prepared with technology or field plans to stop passengers who are not vaccinated from entering the station.” Viren Shah from the Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Associations said it was a welcome step and would only encourage more people to vaccinate.
“50% of people employed in the retail sector in Mumbai have been fully vaccinated.
And as far as obstacles to get bait concerned, we will help our employees,” Shah said.
