Mum praised Vax 80% population with doses 1

Mumbai: Upper State Official on Sunday Praising Mumbai to vaccinate 80% of the population with at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19.
The country hopes to provide two doses of crore in September which will encourage the coverage of cumulative vaccination in Maharashtra to more than eight doses of crore at the end of the month.
Dr.
Pradeep Vyas, an additional principal (health), said that Mumbai has provided more than one dose of crore to date.
“It has the best position in the state,” he said, adding that the private sector has been assisted in the coverage of city vaccination by providing more than 40 doses of lakh.
The city has entirely vaccinated nearly 30 lakh and was given the first shot to around 44 people lakh.
Speaking at a virtual conference, Dr.
Vyas said that 45% of the population of adult countries had at least one dose.
In the age group 18-44, 35% had at least one dose, and in the 45-plus age bracket, 54%.
“We have convinced two crore doses in September, and if production increases, we can receive more,” he added.
The state has given a dose of nearly 6.3 crores, the second highest in this country after Uttar Pradesh.
However, Maharashtra has a fully vaccinated population – more than 1.7 crore followed by 1.3 crore.
On Saturday, Maharashtra achieved the highest one-day vaccination by giving almost 12.3 lakh doses.
Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Jalaon four districts have provided more than one dose of lakh, with Mumbai vaccinating the highest dose of 1.8 lakh.
The state has provided almost 25 doses of lakh in the first three days of September, according to the numbers presented by Dr.
Vyas.
Covid task group members emphasize the importance of complete vaccination to provide maximum protection.
“People who get Covid-19 regardless of vaccination most have mild symptoms,” said Dr Shashank Joshi, a member of the task force.
Research also found that vaccination reduced the chances of post-covid diseases.
Dr.
Mehul Mehta, an alumnus Nair and a retinal surgeon at Harvard Medical School, said that until once everyone had taken both doses, there would always be a new wave risk.
“In the US, especially the west side, the case mostly comes from a population that is not vaccinated.
Among people who do not want to take a shot or wear a mask.”
