Mumbai: At least 14 people suffered an injury in the cylinder explosion in Dharavi at around 12:30 a.m.
on Sunday.
The preliminary report shows that there is a cylinder leak with fire burning.
The incident was reported from Shahu Nagar in Dharavi.
Officials said that of the 14 injured, two people experienced more than 70% burned while the remaining 12 had suffered small burns.
The fire team rushed after the explosion and started a fire department operation.
Two fire extinguisher and one jumbo water tanker rushed to the site along with the Civic Ward level staff.
The Mumbai fire brigade officer said the fire went out at 12:43.
What was injured was taken to Sion Hospital.
The reason for the exact explosion of gas cylinders at home in Dharavi has not been confirmed.
