Mumbai: BMC on Friday announced 15 percent water cuts in parts of the city and the western suburbs in Mumbai in August 3.
There will be no water supply in places such as Kurla, Ghatkopar and Goregaon.
“BMC has three reservoirs in the Veravali region from the ‘K East’ ward.
This reservoir provides drinking water to residents of various regions.
To make water supply in this reservoir more efficient, some technical steps and improvements will be carried out by BMC administration,” said an official , “These steps and improvements are now in the final stage.
Below, work connecting an underground water pipe, installing valves and flow meters on the main pipeline network will be carried out on Tuesday.
As a result, the supply of water in some areas of Kurla-Ghatkopar, Andheri (east and west), RAM Mandir, and Goregaon (West) will be disrupted from 8:30 a.m.
to 10:30 a.m.
