Mumbai: Police Commissioner Mumbai, Hemant Nagrery, has sanctioned the proposal for Chargesheet, two mobile robbers under strict law, Maharashtra control over organized crime (McOCA).
This is one of several cases where Snatchers / Mobile Thieves have been ordered under Mcoca.

Police Marg D B on October 14 arrested two defendants, Suraj Ramu Nair alias Dhopa (25) and Hrishikesh Chavan aka Vatana (21), both Worrili residents.
The duo was arrested on charges of threatening and robbing a 25-year-old Grant Road resident on his way to the Santacruz office.
“Both were accused of appearing at a scooter at 7 in the morning, stopping the victim, took out the knife and threatened him.
They seized him from his cellphone and Rs 1,000.
The duo fled from the scene,” said a police officer.
Senior Pradip Khude Inspector, Pi King Bidkar, PSI Dattatray Yadav started the probe and captured the duo on the same day when the duo had returned to provide a road area.
“During the probe we found that the defendant had also changed their scooter number plate to avoid being caught,” the officer said.
Then, the police added a cheating and forgery against them.
The scooter, used in crime, belonged to the defendant’s family member and was confiscated.
“Vatana was released from prison with a guarantee in another case just two days before she was arrested by our team.
There are two previous cellular theft cases registered against it,” Police said.
Dilip Sawant, Supplementary Police Commissioner and ACP Rajendra Chavan oversaw investigations.
“The application of McOCA in cellular robbery cases will send a strong message to cellphone thieves,” Sawant said.
“Dhopa has 11 previous cases that enrolled against it at various police stations in the city.
Cases include cutting mobile, cellular theft and housebreaking.
