Mumbai: In two separate cases of remedies, the Directorate of Income Intelligence (DRI) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have arrested two foreign nationals with around 2KG Cocaine worth RS 18 Crore they carry to the state in their bodies.
In the first case, DRI on August 5 intercepted a citizen of Tanzania who arrived in Mumbai in Airways Ethiopia from Dar-Es-greetings through Addis Ababa.
Officials Dri intercepted the female passenger, which was identified as Kitwana Wardah Ramdhani.
When he was examined in front of an officer who was exchanged, the capsules wrapped in condoms were found hidden in his underwear.
Capsules have white powder shown the field test kit is cocaine.
He was produced before the Additional Metropolitan Judges and permission to seek medical examinations.
X-ray examination confirmed the existence of foreign objects in his stomach.
“From 5 to 8 August.
He cleaned 65 capsules containing white powders intended to be cocaine and with a total weight of 810 grams of cocaine worth Rs 8 Crore recovering from him,” said an official.
NCB officials on Sunday intercepted Mozambique National, Fumo Zedeqia, at the airport and recovered around 1 kg of South American cocaine worth Rs 10 Crore.
The suspect was interrogated and found to have swallowed around 70 capsules filled with cocaine.
The suspect revealed that he felt uncomfortable and asked for medical assistance.
At JJ Hospital, he was cleaned from 70 capsules.
