Mumbai: Forty-two doctors have been ordered for allegedly sending a false post-graduation certificate to get a license to practice and Agripada police have started cheating and forgery investigations.
Doctors have submitted a postgraduate diploma certificate to Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) to get a license to practice as a specialist.
When MMC examined the doctor’s results with Parel College, where they claimed to have passed, it did not find their name in a list of successful candidates.
Doctors have sent documents that claim to have passed the PG Diploma course in cardiology, general surgery, doctalology and gynecology.
“Investigations are at the main stage.
We will go through the document and will call those who send these documents.
It is too early to say anything.
The investigation has just begun,” said a police officer.
Some Defendants were reported to have practiced.
“We need to collect all documents because the doctor handed it to the medical council for a certain period of time.
We must build the source of these documents and when they get it,” the officer said.
During the investigation, the police would try to find out where they got this certificate, how much money changed hands, and if more people were involved in it.
A few years ago, various police stations in the city have registered cases against several medical students have submitted a certificate of fake caste to get reception at Mbbs Course.
Some people were arrested in those cases and police found the role of some people who did it for monetary benefits.
