Mumbai: A seven-year-old girl, who played near the residence of her fourth floor in a Sion building on Friday, died after the elevator door suddenly opened on the other side and she fell shaft.
His relatives and neighbors rushed to Sion’s hospital, where the doctor said he died on arrival.
Police Sion registered an accidental report (ADR).
The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m.
on Friday on Om Shiv Sai Society in Zion.
The victim, Diya Vinaygam, played with his friends when he destroyed the Inothe lift door.
The door, which was meant to be pulled open, suddenly pushed open to the axis, and Diya fell into the shaft.
His friends raised the alarm and residents took the girl to the hospital.
Postmortem’s report stated the cause of death as shocked because of several injuries.
The police recorded the statement of the person concerned.
