Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday defends the Tender RS 15 Crore for maintenance of penguin cages in byculla zoo.
BMC claims that after the arrival of Penguins, BMC’s revenue from the zoo has increased dramatically.
BMC claims that the revenue from the zoo increased by Rs 12.26 Crore from Rs 12.26 Crore after Penguin was brought in 2017.
Congress recently criticized the body of Civic Mumbai who was run Shiv to floating the 15-crore rs tender for maintenance 15 -Crore for maintenance.

The king accused the tender issued to benefit contractors, PTI reported.
“Certain parts of the media have reported accusations carried out by selected representatives from several political parties regarding the loss of Crores Rupee to BMC because of the maintenance of penguins in the veermata zoo Jijamata Bhosle.
Total cumulative revenue of zoos between April 2014 and March 2017 (3 years ) is Rs.
2.10 crore.
However, after the arrival of Penguin in March 2017, the total cumulative revenue of the zoo between April 2017 and March 2020 was Rs.
14.36 Crore.
Therefore it is clear that the revenue of the zoo increased by Rs.
12.26 Crore, ” said Commissioner of the city of Iqbal Chahal.
