Mumbai: Cop beat the cashier restaurant for ‘free’ food & alcohol

Mumbai: The disciplinary action has begun against a police officer for allegedly attacking the cashier of a restaurant in the Vakola because he refused to serve him after the restaurant closed the store after rush hour on Wednesday.
A complaint that lodged against Assistant Inspector Vikram Patil from the Vakola Police Station also stated that the police, who wore simple clothes at the time, had demanded free food and alcohol.
Police Commissioner Hemant Nagral told Ti that the action was taken against the official.

The owner of the Swagat restaurant bar, Mahesh Shetty, said that the police entered the restaurant from the back door around 12:30 a.m.
