Mumbai: While the Minister of Health of Rajesh Tope on Saturday said the cases of omicron-covid in the country have dropped by almost 50% in the past two weeks, daily calculations rose 12%.
From 24,948 cases on Friday, daily calculations increased to 27,971.
However, daily death in the state, registered drastically 61 on Saturday compared to 103 on Friday.
“Some fluctuations every day can occur, but the omicron wave is in a decline in all countries,” said a senior state health worker.
In Mumbai, too, the case registered a slight increase (7.5%) because the daily calculation rose to 1,411 from 1.312 on Friday.
Daily deaths in Mumbai remain steady, with 11 registered on Saturday.
“We hope the Covid case fell below 1,000 in the next few days,” said Suresh Kakani, an additional BMC commissioner.
“Because the fourth week of Covid-Omicron waves, we hope the number of deaths also goes down to the digit within a week, ” said Kakani.
The daily toll in Mumbai in one digit for almost five months since August 2021, before going up to 11 January on January 15.
BMC renewal Covid shows that only 6.5% of the total covid beds are available in the city compared to Saturday to 16% to two weeks back.
The number of ICU patients stands in 769 by opposing 900-plus a week again .
BMC has suggested a Jumbo Center, which is the main hospital that recognizes Covid patients, to maintain an open minimum number .
While the Mumbai circle reported 3,456 cases, the number of pune circles increased to 11,086.
Cases in most people l Ain, including Nagpur and Nashik, showed a decline.
Meanwhile, the Surveillance Genom report on Saturday found 85 patients with Omicron infection in the state.
These cases have been reported by the Institute of Science, Education and Research India based in Pune.
While 44 cases came from the limit of the municipality of Pune, 39 came from Mumbai and each of the rustic Pune and Akola.
The calculation of the state omicron has increased to 3,125 so far.
