Mumbai: Andheri police have arrested a man from Nalasopara for allegedly persecuting and robbing a lawyer at the ATM booth on Wednesday.
The defendant, Rough Avinash (29), Nabbed in 24 hours after the incident, after the police passed CCTV footage in several locations at all train stations between Andheri and Nalasopara.
The incident occurred on January 19, at around 8:40 a.m., at the ATM outside the Andheri train station, where victims were withdrawing money.
“Roughly entering the ATM area, kissing the back of the lawyer and, then, committed with cash,” said an officer from the Andheri police station.
Lawyers rushed to the police station and registered a case.
“We scan all CCTV camera snippets and find out that the defendant has boarded the train to Goregaon at the port line, followed by local Borivli.
The defendant finally took a train bound by Virar from the Borivli train station and got off at Nalasopara.

After scanning CCTV cameras, the police focused on rough by examining the detailed record of his call (CDR) and the location of the cellphone, which tied it to the scene.
The officer said the rude profile met with the victim’s description and CCTV footage, and he was arrested on Thursday night.
He has been ordered under the Indian punishment code for robbery, the simplicity of anger and stalking.
