MUMBAI: By Monday, 50 percent of vaccinations in the public centers could be during online appointments, that the remainder through walk-ins, BMC said, declaring a shift in its strategy.
The town obtained more than 1 lakh doses of this vaccine on Sunday that could provide a push into the driveway.
BMC’s added commissioner Suresh Kakani stated BMC has altered the regular as it had been pointed out there can’t be just walk in or on line days.
“Those desiring to choose the very first Covishield dose can take an internet appointment or walk in,” he explained.
The town has obtained 1.11 lakh doses of Covishield.
Kakani reported that the doses allocated to centers are decreasing because vaccine stocks came.
BMC is mulling over prioritizing vaccination for segments of the populace.
