Mumbai: Schools in Mumbai do not participate in the National Survey of learning achievement students can continue their diwali vacation until November 22, declare the Ministry of Education released on Wednesday.
However, 292 schools in Mumbai have been selected for the 2021 National Achievement Survey (NAS) will be reopened on Thursday.
The state has limited holidays and directs the school to reopen on Thursday – the day before the survey was carried out on Friday.
However, across the country, confusion about reopening continued until the late Wednesday.
Previously, on November 3, November 3 had left it to school to adjust the Diwali vacation delayed by Christmas or Summer holidays.
“It doesn’t make sense to reopen schools that don’t participate in the survey,” said Shivnath Darade, Secretary, Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Samiti, who struggled for Diwali’s vacation.
With schools told to ensure a 100% presence for surveys, parents were pressed to send children to school.
However, in the state, schools have been reopened for grades 5 to 12 in rural areas and 8 to 12 in urban areas with parents’ approval.
For surveys, parents were told that they were obliged to be in school on Thursday and Friday.
“We got a call to say my daughter had to come to school, if not, it would result in a bad comment on the academic calendar,” said the parents from 10th grade students in Bandra.
Students must go to school on Friday from 8am to 3pm.
They must bring their tiffin and water.
The state has allowed students to travel by train for surveys.
People who accompany students do not need to be fully vaccinated.
The Principal said the response of parents to send their children to bad schools.
“They refused to send children to school just two days,” said a principal, who must bring class 3 and 8.
Selected schools must collect 30 students for a survey per standard.
For example, the chosen school for class 5 and 10 surveys must call all students.
Among them, 30 each of the two classes will be randomly selected with chits.
The Minister of Education and Education Varsha Gaikwad on Wednesday asked for school and parents to participate in the survey and keep the above Maharashtra in the overall ranking.
While the survey, in the form of written tests in language, mathematics and science, is for 39 lakh students from the 1.25 lakh schools in the country, the final number will be known on Friday.
Up has a maximum of 15,302 participating schools, followed by MP with 9,499 and Maharashtra 7,330.
