Mumbai: In a case suspected of supremacy in a drug transaction, two people allegedly shot at a 35-year-old man, who had gone to answer natural calls near T Junction in the Dharavi area on Saturday morning.
The victim sustained a bullet injury on his face, the other on the chest and the third bullet behind.
He rushed to Sion Civic’s hospital where he underwent treatment, said Dharavi police.
The incident occurred around 10am on Saturday.
“People who were injured, Aamir Anis Khan, had gone to answer natural calls in the morning.
This is when the defendant came and shot him.
He rushed to the hospital.
We are looking for the defendant,” said Senior Inspector Balwant Patil.
The case of murder attempts has been registered.
Khan, a car driver by the profession, has a previous criminal case of the attack registered against him in 2016.
The police have deployed all his teams to look for two suspects -Parvez Butta (27) and Saleem Langda (27).
“There was a previous home break-in case that was registered against Butta in 2012.
We scan CCTV recordings from all areas to get information about the existence of the two suspects,” said an officer.
Bullets have been removed from Khan.
The body, police said, added that the country’s artificial weapons might have been used in the attack.
A police source said, “Khan and the two defendants experienced drug transactions.
It seems that supremacy efforts to be a drug transaction in this area cause this incident.
We have received the name of the suspect and tried to find it.
Immediately after the incident, the first person to meet with the victim about the suspects “.
