Mumbai: Twenty-nine years Aakriti Goel completed his technique from Bits Pilani in 2015 and tried to be several projects and started until he landed, what he believed was his dream work.
Two years of devoting more than 14 hours a day in start-ups related to this health, Goel fell ill.
Because of the extreme stress, he suffered from hormonal imbalances forced him to quit his job immediately after the outbreak of pandemic.
A year after the health episode, Goel had risen back into what he called the version 2.0 career.
He studied for the test in the national feasibility (Neet) and pocketed an all-india rating which should be imitated from 1118 – a achievement that many people find extraordinary, including their parents.
An official from the Directorate of Medical Education and Research claimed that in the list of state ratings, which would not be released, he could easily be at 100.
Goel was ready to join a leading government institution and pursue a career in medicine.
He might end up being a doctor at the age of 35 and a surgeon of around 40, but he took life because he came and was not worried about his future now.
“Age should not be a bar to achieve anything in life.
We tend to have more faith in stereotypical beliefs that ‘what is done is done’ and that ‘we cannot restart our career again’.
Or ‘we are too old’.
Or ‘If you are a woman, it’s still harder.
That’s not true.
People can still find things they like at the age of 30, 40 or even 50 and chase it.
It’s never too late to find your life goals, “said Thane resident.
Goel never likes to work in MNC.
He wanted to join a small company and made a significant difference.
“I’m not 9 to 5 people,” he said.
He opted out of campus placement in 2015 and began looking for an unconventional role in start-up.
After working in some of them, he decided to experiment with something himself.
With a little success, he looked for operating work at another start in 2018 and walked to the top in a short time.
“It was quite busy, but I learned a lot.
Bounting for 14-15 hours a day finally took the victim in my health and I decided to stop in March last year,” Goel said.
He relaxed at home for several months, whether yoga, painted, and slowly rose again.
Once he fully recovered, what next question? ‘ Bother him.
He could easily return to his deceased salary job, but he realized it was not his call.
“Even though I learned a lot in the company, it never gave me full satisfaction,” he said.
Goel is always interested in the problem of empowering women and wants to start something alone, like an NGO.
But the pandemic is worn, place talking in the wheel.
He then decided to approach an old friend, a living coach, who asked him to take the Ikigai training, a Japanese concept to find out the purpose of someone’s life.
Do it for the second time, he thought the medicine where his heart was.
“I want to be a doctor as a child.
I am good at biology at school.
But when the time comes between the two, I don’t want to lose the opportunity to be called a female engineer.
I don’t regret that decision too.
In fact, after becoming an engineer for more than 10 Year, I now know how excited I want to be a doctor, “he said.
Back to the study is easier said than done.
He has studied physics and chemistry in the field of engineering but loss of contact with biology.
He included 10-12 hours every day last year and joined the training class.
“Initially it was difficult.
I have no friends to discuss and classes online.
But finally, I succeeded.
I gave more than 100 mock tests.
At first, I got around 590, but towards the end, I violated 700.
Mark, “He said.
In Neet-2021, Goel scored 676 of 720.
His parents were originally surprised but very supportive later.
He hopes to enter one of the AIIMS peripheral or government universities in Mumbai.
He has no doubts about joining a group of young people in his MBBS pursuit.
“I will never grow old in their company.
They will have fresh energy and vibration and I’m sure I will be able to absorb and use it,” he added.
“I am in the next time for the next 12 years, including PG and super special.
I am ready to be something valuable,” he said.
