Mumbai: One of the largest mandal Mumbai Ganeshotsav, GSB Wadla, will celebrate the Festival only at Ganesh Chaturthi (September 10), not 11 days this year, because of the pandemic constraints.
Public Darshan is not permitted and Prasad will not be distributed.
The ritual will be broadcast online instead, said Mukund Kamat, Secretary GSB Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal.
GSB Wadala has canceled the celebration last year because of Covid and chose to celebrate Maghi GanPati in February 2021.
“Because of the sustainable pandemic and third wave threats that tower large, we will limit the celebration to one day.
According to government guidelines, Darshan Public will not be permitted.
The pujas will be limited to only one ganahoma, “said Chairman of Rajan Bhat.
