Mumbai: One more person on Friday surrendered to the injury suffered in a fire that erupted in a multi-floor residential building at Tardeo in South Mumbai, said a citizenship official.
With the latest death, the toll road that took place on January 22 rose to nine, he said.
Dhaval Samarassar (23), who was undergoing treatment at the Byculla-based Masina Hospital, was declared dead at 5.15 in the afternoon, the official said the information received from a doctor.
Previously, at least six people had died and 24 others were injured in the broken fire in the Sachinam Heights, a ground-plus-graffitor building, which was located opposite the Bhatia Hospital in Gowalia Tank.
“As many as 30 people were injured in the incident, where nine was dead, eight underwent treatment, with five of them in critical conditions and the other three were stable.
13 victims have been dismissed,” the official said.
A 35-year-old woman, who underwent treatment at the Kastba hospital managed by Civic, surrendered to her injury on Thursday.
