MUMBAI: Andheri Police resolved a case of murder of a female within a day on Friday and arrested a teen who had been at an live-in affair with her.
The girl recognized as Jyoti Gawde (24) reacted to a serious head injury following the accused themselves within a public bathroom situated under the Metro Rail Station at Andheri (East) on May 27.
Accused Niyaz Ali Ansari (19) has been nabbed from his Jogeshwari hideout if he was attempting to board a train to escape to West Bengal.
Ansari perpetrated the offence on a petty problem afterwards he chased Gawde to a public toilet and after shutting the door banged her head to the tap.
The two, Gawde and Ansari, lived on the roadside at Naya Nagar in Mira Road and went every day into the city to collect crap.
On May 27, both went to another place before attaining Andheri (East) at about 7pm.
They have been accompanied by an additional couple, and also the authorities team was able to follow with the support of this closed-circuit television (CCTV).
“CCTV footages assisted us to monitor the few first who supplied us with the guide, had assisted us into nabbing Ansari.
It’s supposed Ansari murdered Gawde by slamming her head to the water faucet at the restroom,” explained Andheri police senior inspector Vijay Belge.
Authorities said it was a difficult endeavor for the police group since they did not have some information concerning the victim and the accused until technical and manual wisdom helped them to monitor the accused.
The thing was detected following a man used in the public bathroom alerted the authorities after the accused forced him fled after murdering the victim in the restroom at about 7.
