Mumbai: Mumbai on Saturday reported 11 deaths related to Coronavirus, the highest single victim since July 29 last year, and 10,661 fresh infections, said Civic’s body.
As many as 21,474 patients were sent back, taking total recovery to 8,99,358.
The number of newly infected patients has declined over the past three days, according to the data of BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC).
Furthermore, only 722 out of 10 new, 661 patients found during the day were hospitalized, which raised the number of Covid-19 patients who were hospitalized to 5,962.
As many as 8,955 or 84 percent of new patients did not show symptoms.
The city on July 29, 2021, has reported 13 deaths and mortality rates have begun to decline after that.
Mumbai has reported 16,420 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, 13,702 cases on Thursday and 11,317 on Friday, so that it shows a stable decline.
Kaseload in the country’s financial capital rose to 9.91,967, while the death toll reached 16,446, the BMC broadcast said.
A total of 54,558 Covid-19 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, taking the test calculation to 1,45,64,996.
38.117 Hospital beds in the city, 5.962 or 15.7 percent of beds are currently occupied.
The level of Mumbai recovery was 91 percent while the overall growth rate between 8 and 14 January was 1.56 percent.
Caseload’s doubling level is now 43 days, which is 39 days on Friday, the release said.
At present BMC has sealed 58 buildings due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in their place.
