Mumbai: The country’s Daily Covid case fell 29% to 25,425 cases on Thursday from 35,756 on Wednesday.
Daily toll roads, too, almost twice from 79 to 42.
A senior doctor said the decline could be the result of fewer tests carried out since the Republican Day today.
While 1.8 the Lakh test runs on Tuesday, only 1.5 lakh is done on Wednesday.
However, in Mumbai, Daily Caseload fell 26% without a decrease every day of the test (around 42,000 on Wednesday and Thursday).
Tally fell to 1,384 on Thursday from 1,858 registered on Wednesday.
Daily toll road increases one to 13 on Thursday.
The decline in cases in cities and countries pushed the country cabinet to hold a discussion about whether it was time to think of life outside Covid and out of restrictions mostly countries in Europe.
“The decline was clearly in Mumbai when the case dropped from 20,000 to around 20 days ago to less than 2,000 cases now,” said the additional Commissioner BMC Suresh Kakani.
BMC will review the situation in the next few days to reflect on the boundary easing.
In Mumbai, changes between January 15 and 27 told the story: While 7,191 beds were occupied on January 15, the occupancy fell to 3,170 on January 27.
The number of patients charged by oxygen support from 2,650 to 1,299 in the same period when the quarantine figure house fell from 9 lakh to 5.7 lakh.
Mumbai’s weekly front level was 8.5%, down from 16% last week.
Pune and Nagpur reported a 25% increase and 82% in new cases, respectively, for the past week while Mumbai reported a 64% decline.
Pune added more than 89,000 new cases between January 20 and 26 against 71,000 cases added before.
Weekly weekly Mumbai fell to 22,364 against 61,712 in the previous week.
There was a discussion in the Cabinet of State on Thursday regarding relaxation given by other countries such as England.
The Minister of Health of State Rajesh Tope said he had spoken with the task force to discuss the possibility of out of the covid sidewalk, similar to how countries in Europe announced the easing of restrictions.
“How long can we put restrictions on people? We must come up with advanced ways, about how to live with Covid and discipline ourselves,” Minister said, adding that he planned to hold talks with the Satgent Samor Sentral too.
