Mumbai: Mumbai reported 196 new Coronavirus cases and only one new death on Tuesday, took the calculation of infection to 7.61,518 and the death toll became 16,311, a citizenship official said.
For the second day in a row, the city has reported less than 200 cases of Covid-19.
Financial capital on November 22 reported 176 COVID-19 cases and four deaths.
A total of 29,527 Covid tests were carried out in the last 24 hours which took their cumulative number to 1.21.94,972, the official said.
The official said the city was left with 2,388 active Covid cases after 258 patients recovered were dismissed from hospitals during the day.
With this, the cumulative number of patients recovered rose to 7.40,260.
According to officials, currently, Mumbai has 13 closed buildings, while the city is free of detention zones in the slums and ‘Chawl’ (old row plots) since mid-August.
The Covid Mumbai recovery rate is 97 percent.
Level of doubling the case in the metropolis has crossed a sign of 2,500 days to stand at 2,526, while the average growth rate of infection was 0.03 percent between November 16 and November 22, he said.
